SANDALWOOD ESSENTIAL OIL

Sandalwood essential oil, also known as ‘Chandan Oil’ in India is renowned for its various benefits on physical body, mental body and energy body. In India there is a saying that Snakes do not bite sandalwood tree. This has a metaphor meaning, the properties of sandalwood is recognized by snake. Snake is one of the animal esp. cobra who can sense the vibrations and energy very easily that’s is why snake has been symbols of spirituality in India, ancient Egypt and many other cultures.

There are eight major types of Sandalwood Essential Oils. Among these Indian Sandalwood also known as Mysore Sandalwood is most famous. Sandalwood is the fragrance heritage of India. We name our school after Mysore because Mysore is famous for Sandalwood, and Enlightened Yogis both.

2. Australian Sandalwood Essential Oil

3. New Caledonia Sandalwood Essential Oil

Botanical Name: Santalum Austro Caledonicum

4. Tanzanian Sandalwood Essential Oil

Botanical Name: Osyris lanceolata

5. Ugandan Sandalwood Essential Oil

Botanical Name: Osyris Tenuifolia

6. Madagascar Sandalwood Essential Oil

Botanical Name: Osyris compresso

7. East African Sandalwood Essential Oil

Botanical Name: Osyris santalaceae

8. Hawaii Sandalwood Essential Oil

Botanical Name: Santalum paniculatum
